Espanol

When a professor misses his yoga class to come and sit with you one-on-one in the CCRI cafeteria for two hours on a Friday morning and patiently explain the difference between Spanish preterites and imperfect tenses... and when he allows you and your struggling fellow classmates to retake a certain very challenging test, thereby boosting your grade from a 63% to a 98%... well... you kinda overlook some of his past annoyances!

MOSI Singing

At the Tampa Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), they have a large cement amphitheater that was amazing to sing in! I don't think you can see me in this picture... I'm on the far right. Wonderful memories! *smile*

Puppies!

Here is an artistic representation of my two favorite Shih Tzu puppies... Neeko and Lily! Ach, they are the cutest little dogs I've ever seen, and I got to spend a lot of time with them while we stayed at the Casebolts'. It's hilarious to see their individual personalities... Lily is the energetic, feisty one, while Neeko is just plain stubborn and oh so cuddly.

I think someone needs to buy me a dog!

Ladies of Virtue and Excellence (LOVE)

This is a video made by some of the students down at FC. After chapel, the daily announcements are made, and sometimes the students will put together little skits instead of boring old announcements. (For instance, a fella sitting at the piano plunking out "Twinkle, Twinkle, Talent Show, How I Wonder: Should I Go?" to announce the upcoming talent show and a bunch of professors performing a "Daddy Do-It-All" sample relay race to announce the next day's fundraiser.) It was rather amusing... I know all the girls in the video and they're just too much fun!*smile*

Packing, Day 2

Yay! It all fit! Barely, but surely!
Revised Packing List *smile*
After a LOT of ironing, folding, sorting, laundering, and stuffing, I'm finally packed! Hooray! It took about 4 hours to get everything together... since packing included hauling my summer bucket of clothes upstairs and changing turtlenecks for polo shirts. I tried to keep it all as organized as I can.... Bekah laughed at me because I put little post-it notes on top of my shirts to remind myself which skirts they were supposed to match with. As you know if you've ever lived out of a suitcase, things get awfully disorganized and confusing in time, so it's good to start out neatly and end up with a bunch of balled up socks and wrinkled, inside-out shirts!

I'm bringing three books for the two-hour plane trips. Maybe I should bring more, but Pride and Prejudice should keep me entertained for a while.  Plus I always bring far more books than I ever get a chance to read. (Although Angela might just have something to say about that! I brought ten books to her house last summer and read them all plus the ones we got from the library!) Also I am bringing two of the Home to Heather Creek series I've been enjoying. I am borrowing them from Kerrin. (I hope it's okay to bring them with me on the plane, Pickle? Since that's what I forgot to ask you! If anyone threatens to steal it, I'll just offer up my life instead.)

So that's the latest update! Next time you hear from me will probably be Monday, so au revoir, devoted readers and not-so-devoted commenters!

Packing

IRONING, IRONING, IRONING
Utter Chaos

Watching "Duggars on Wheels" as I go...

Well, I'm sure I've forgotten some things, but so far this is what mei list looks like. (I always over-pack... but it's besser than under-packing, jah?) If YOU brilliant souls can think of anything I've forgotten to list, PLEASE remind me before tomorrow afternoon. We fly to Tampa, then we meet the Casebolts for supper. Very exciting!
