Packing, Day 2

Yay! It all fit! Barely, but surely!
Revised Packing List *smile*
After a LOT of ironing, folding, sorting, laundering, and stuffing, I'm finally packed! Hooray! It took about 4 hours to get everything together... since packing included hauling my summer bucket of clothes upstairs and changing turtlenecks for polo shirts. I tried to keep it all as organized as I can.... Bekah laughed at me because I put little post-it notes on top of my shirts to remind myself which skirts they were supposed to match with. As you know if you've ever lived out of a suitcase, things get awfully disorganized and confusing in time, so it's good to start out neatly and end up with a bunch of balled up socks and wrinkled, inside-out shirts!

I'm bringing three books for the two-hour plane trips. Maybe I should bring more, but Pride and Prejudice should keep me entertained for a while.  Plus I always bring far more books than I ever get a chance to read. (Although Angela might just have something to say about that! I brought ten books to her house last summer and read them all plus the ones we got from the library!) Also I am bringing two of the Home to Heather Creek series I've been enjoying. I am borrowing them from Kerrin. (I hope it's okay to bring them with me on the plane, Pickle? Since that's what I forgot to ask you! If anyone threatens to steal it, I'll just offer up my life instead.)

So that's the latest update! Next time you hear from me will probably be Monday, so au revoir, devoted readers and not-so-devoted commenters!

  1. I have been thinking about you. I hope you are having a great time. You might see some people that you met here down there. I know Jacob Smith the chess kid and Emma Smith she is a tall girl were going. You will have to let me know if you see them. : )

  2. I saw them both!!! Very funny! I knew Emma and Morgan right away, but I kept looking at Jacob and thinking, "Hmmm. He does look a whole lot like Jake Smith. But no, that's impossible... he's too old to be here." Guess I was wrong! We had an interesting conversation, as you can probably imagine... (!!!!)
