Tis the time for semester exams! I took my Spanish one today - we had a choice of either taking it today or next week. I wanted to get it over with, so I went for it this week. Instead of a written exam, she tests us by having an "interview" with us one-on-one. (Fortunately, not in front of the class!) I think I did okay, although I messed up on the silliest little thing: "Me llamo es Sarah." Oh, well. We have two weeks left before our composition "exams" are due. Just like in Spanish, we don't have actual written tests. The exam grade is whatever we score on our research papers.
I'm off to take a Spanish test. I have to drill into mei head the difference between "por" and "para" in the next five minutes. (It's due by 12:00 tonight.) So... chau!
I went to Spanish class tonight... and stayed for a half hour... (remember, I had my interview last week? This week, everyone who was "afraid" to last week had to do theirs. I didn't realize it would be THAT short though) then I wandered around CCRI getting lost and looking for the library. I sat down and read a book on deafness(the only safe thing I could think of!) then I went and spent all my extra quarters on York patties and pita chips. All this took a whole two hours... I was getting picked up by Miss Ashley and mei sisters at 6:30, and there was no way they could pick me up before then. Plus my cell phone was dead. And Composition was cancelled on account of mei professor's illness.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of weird to know this was my last Spanish class. I was getting to know mei classmates... we'd greet each other in the hallways and whatnot, or wave across the cafeteria. (I'm not exactly very camouflaged.)I've befriended the lunchman (he's not a lunchlady). So now I have to start all over again from scratch in the new semester's classes.
